Floating is related to my fascination with things caught between mediums and surfaces. Always a fan of Monet’s pallet and subject matter, I realized that the optical worlds of light and surface he often painted were similar to my own, although I think the resin allows me to explore a multi-dimensional surface. “floating” is a painting that I let the shapes of the resin surfaces determine the movement they invoke.
